We have raw, unwashed Hebridean wool fleeces available from our own flock of sheep in Northamptonshire. Hebridean sheep are a small, hardy, primitive breed with a lot of character, perfect for conservation grazing, and ours are a much loved part of the farm.
 
The fleeces are naturally a dark, black to chocolatey colour with some white fibres and characterful texture, and are great for spinning, rug making or needle felting. We skirt by hand to remove heavily soiled edges, but this is a true raw fleece - expect lanolin and the occasional bit of vegetable matter, as is normal with unprocessed wool!
